The USS Providence, NCC-71796, Gemini Class Exploratory Cruiser, is a chapter of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association, located in Region One The First Fleet, Sector One (Kentucky-Tennessee). The Providence is also a member ofThe MidSouth Squadron, which also consist of the mother ship - the USS Aeon, NCC-75022 Soverien Class, Formally known as the USS Alacrity NCC-1881, Avenger Class Starship, Memphis, Tennessee, and the sister ships, the USS Mark Twain (now decommissioned), NCC-23106, Olympus Class Dreadnought, the University of Memphis, USS Legend (Now decommissioned), NCC-75019, Soverien Class Starship and the USS Shiloh, NCC-74683, Intrepid Class Starship, Henderson, Tennessee, now the USS Blackhawk relocated in Rockford, Il.

The mission of the USS Providence is to seek out new friends and fellow Star Trek fans. To promote an optimistic future as envisioned in the Star Trek universe and to support the positive vision by engaging in meaningful community service, social activities and various creative endeavors.

Our community service's include our annual Holiday Adopt-A-Family and the Humane society.

Our meetings are held at the Community Center located at 7665 Terry Road in Cedar Grove. Meeting dates for a Saturday of the month, is to be determined. Meetings will start at 3:30 pm.
